Responsibilities:
- Tax Advisory: Provide expert advice on Thai tax matters and cross-border transaction taxation, including tax treaty analysis and the taxation impacts of business reorganizations.
- M&A Support: Assist in all phases of mergers and acquisitions, including planning, due diligence, implementation, and post-transaction integration, ensuring tax efficiency and compliance.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and suggest strategies to manage tax risks, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Tax Compliance and Reporting: Oversee tax reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with both local and international regulations.
- Audit Support: Provide essential support during tax audits, preparing necessary documentation and defending filed positions.
- Team Supervision: Supervise and review the performance of junior staff on large projects, ensuring high-quality output and professional growth.
- Continuous Learning: Participate in tax training sessions and stay independently updated on legislative changes impacting tax matters both in Thailand and globally.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Tax Advisor or similar role, with a strong focus on international tax matters.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Thai tax law, cross-border taxation issues, and tax treaty implications.
- Experience with tax aspects of M&A and business reorganizations.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and lead junior staff.
- Relevant certifications in tax (e.g., CPA, Master's in Taxation) are highly desirable.
